Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project pattern. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size pattern underneath it. Place your beads, following the pattern.

Step 2
You will also need (for optional wrist strap):
Ribbon, 1/4" wide, 8" length
Metal jump ring
Flat-nose pliers

Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your design pieces. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.

Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable.

Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.

Step 5
Assemble the design pieces as shown on the pattern sheet.

Step 6
Add a metal jump ring and ribbon loop to make a wrist strap if desired. Use flat-nose pliers to grasp and open the jump ring. Open the ring by twisting the ends in opposite directions. DonŐt pull outward to separate the ends! Close the ring by twisting the ends back together.
