Instructions
Step 1
Notes: Some bead colors are used on multiple designs. You will need just one 1000 pc bag of each color to complete all designs.
All 3 bracelets include oven-melted beads. The bead charms shown on the pattern sheet are used on the Flower Charm Bracelet.
Step 2
You will also need:
Elastic cord
Metal jump rings (flower charm bracelet)
Polymer beads (fruit bracelet)
Metal heart-shaped beads (alphabet bracelet)
Square alphabet beads
Flat-nose pliers
Step 3
Instructions for oven-melted Perler beads (with adult supervision):
Preheat oven to 400Ą F/ ~ 200Ą C.
Place beads upright on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Melt beads for about 2-3 minutes.
Note: Oven temperatures and times may vary. Some beads may melt faster than others, so make sure to supervise to avoid over-melting your beads.
Step 4
Flower Charm Bracelet
Download/print the PDF for the project pattern. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size pattern underneath it. Place your beads, following the pattern.
Ask an adult to fuse your designs. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable. Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.
Cut a length of the elastic cord to wrist size plus 5".
Thread the beads onto the cord to create the desired pattern.
Center the beads on the cord. Tie a knot to fit bracelet to wrist, then trim excess cord.
Add a metal jump ring to a flower charm. Use flat-nose pliers to grasp and open the jump ring. Open the ring by twisting the ends in opposite directions. DonŐt pull outward to separate the ends! Close the ring by twisting the ends back together after attaching to the bracelet.
Repeat, adding desired number of charms.
Step 5
Fruit Bracelet
