Instructions
Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project patterns. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size patterns underneath it. Place your beads, following the patterns. For the watering can, you will need to connect the four pegboards together to form a large square.
Step 2
You will also need:
Textured purple patterned cardstock (white polka dots), 12" x 12"
Light lavender cardstock, 12" x 12"
White paper or cardstock, 8.5" x 11"
Envelope to fit 4 _" x 6" card
Craft glue
Double-sided tape (optinal)
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your designs. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.
Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable.
Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.
Step 5
Cut an 8 _" x 6" piece of the purple patterned cardstock. Fold in half to create a 4 _" x 6" side-folding card.
Step 6
Lightly pencil a line on the card front that runs from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. Trim off the right side of the card front, following the line.
Step 7
Cut a 4" x 5 _" piece of the light lavender cardstock. Center it on the inside of the card and attach with double-sided tape or craft glue.
Step 8
Write Best Mom Ever on a 3 _" x 5 _" piece of the white paper. Optional: If you wish to use a computer/printer for the greeting, print it on the white cardstock before trimming to 3 _" x 5 _". Attach to the light lavender cardstock with double-sided tape or craft glue.
Step 9
Glue the fuse bead daisies along the cut line on the card front.
Note: If intending to mail the card, it may require additional postage due to thickness. ItŐs best to check with your local post office before mailing.
