Instructions
Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project patterns. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size patterns underneath it. Place your beads, following the patterns.
Step 2
You will also need:
Lt. teal textured cardstock, 12" x 12"
Teal textured cardstock, 12" x 12"
Envelope to fit a 5 _" x 6 _" card
Grosgrain ribbon, creme, 1/8" wide, 24" length
Craft glue
Double-sided tape
Ruler
Scoring tool
Scissors
Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your designs. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.
Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable.
Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.
Step 5
Cut a piece of the teal cardstock to measure 10 _" x 6 _". Fold in half to create a 5 _" x 6 _" card.
Step 6
Cut the lt. teal cardstock to measure 5" x 6". Working on the wrong side of the cardstock, score the paper every _" in both directions to create a faux embossed panel.
Step 7
Cut a 3" and a 4" length of the grosgrain ribbon. Use craft glue to position and attach the ribbon pieces to the lt. teal cardstock to create ŇhangersÓ for the eggs. Fold the top end of the ribbon pieces to the back of the cardstock and glue in place.
Step 8
Use the double-sided tape to secure the embossed cardstock to the card front.
Step 9
Add the eggs to the card front with craft glue.
Step 10
Make two small bows from the remaining ribbon. Secure to the top center of each egg.
Step 11
Note: If intending to mail the card, it may require additional postage due to thickness/size. ItŐs best to check with your local post office before mailing.
