Step 1
Bead Colors Needed:
Hot Coral - 54
Red - 379
Rust - 98

You will also need:
Heavy black cardboard
Tiny yellow pompoms
Craft glue
Foam adhesive

Step 2
Download the PDF for the Fiesta Project Pattern. You will use 2 large square pegboards for your project. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size pattern underneath it. Place the beads for the project.

Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your designs. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard. In a circular motion, begin to iron the project. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.

Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat step two. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboards and ironing paper are reusable.

Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.

Step 5
ASSEMBLY: Cut a piece of black cardboard to 2 1/2 x 15 inches.

Step 6
Position the letters the way you like on the cardboardÑthey should extend beyond the edges of the cardboard at different angles. Secure them to the board with foam adhesive.

Step 7
Position the sombrero behind the board at an angle. Lay a ruler on the sombrero at the edge of the cardboard to use as a guide, then remove the cardboard. Place foam adhesive below the ruler's edge, then attach the front of the sombrero to the back of the board.

Step 8
Glue tiny pompoms along the edge of the brim. To use the sign, either use a small easel or a thread hanger run through beads at the top of the sombrero.
