Fishing Game

Ready... Set... Fish! Create your own playable fishing game and see who can catch the most fish! Perfect for backyard carnivals, playdates, or rainy day fun.

Instructions

Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project patterns. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size pattern underneath it. Place your beads, following the pattern.

Step 2
You will also need:
Gold craft wire, 18"
White string or thread, 12"
Optional: Small needle nose pliers to help shape the wire pieces

Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your design. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.

Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable. Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.

Step 5
Add the stand to each fish as shown on the pattern sheet.

Step 6
Cut six 2-1/4" pieces of gold wire. Shape each one into a circle and attach through the hole in the front of each fish.

Step 7
Make a fishhook from the remaining wire. Use the pattern provided on the pattern sheet as a guide for size and shape.

Step 8
Tie one end of the string through the hole at the top of the fishhook and the other end through the prickly pear bead at the end of the fishing rod.
