Floral Birthday Greetings

Floral Birthday Greetings

Make a handmade card for all the special people in your life with this easy-to-make birthday greeting

Instructions

Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project patterns. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size patterns underneath it. Place your beads, following the patterns.

Step 2
You will also need:
Patterned paper
White cardstock
Fine tip marker
Craft glue
Double-sided tape
Envelope to fit 6" x 4 _" card
Scissors

Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your designs. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.

Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable.

Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.

Step 5
Cut a 6" x 9 _" piece of the patterned paper. Fold in half to create a 6" x 4 _" card.

Step 6
Cut a 5 _" x 4 _" piece of the white cardstock.

Step 7
Write Happy Birthday! in the center of the white cardstock. Optional: If you wish to use a computer/printer for the greeting, print it on the white cardstock before trimming to 5 _" x 4 _".

Step 8
Working 1/8" from the outer edges of the white cardstock, use the fine tip marker to add a dashed line all the way around.

Step 9
Use double-sided tape to secure the white cardstock to the card front.

Step 10
Attach the Perler floral clusters to the white cardstock with small dabs of craft glue.

Step 11
Note: If intending to mail the card, it may require additional postage due to thickness. ItŐs best to check with your local post office before mailing.
