Jellyfish Wind Streamer

Jellyfish Wind Streamer

Make this cute fuse bead jellyfish wind streamer to hang on a porch or patio. If you want to use it indoors, you can hang it from the ceiling or display on a wall, door, or window.

Instructions

Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project pattern. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size pattern underneath it. Place your beads, following the pattern.

Step 2
You will also need:
1/8" lime satin ribbon, six 24" lengths
1/8" turquoise satin ribbon, five 24" lengths
Embroidery thread or string, 18" length, coordinating color
Craft glue

Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your designs. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard. In a circular motion, begin to iron the project. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.

Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboards and ironing paper are reusable.

Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.

Step 5
Slide the ribbon pieces through the openings in the bottom of the main jellyfish piece and double them over. Use a small amount of craft glue to hold each ribbon in place.

Step 6
Position and glue the small jellyfish piece over the main jellyfish piece to further secure the ribbon.

Step 7
Fold the length of thread or string in half. Thread through the center top bead opening. Tie a knot at the desired length. Trim ends.
