Instructions
Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project patterns. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size pattern underneath it. Place your beads, following the pattern.
Step 2
You will also need:
Metal split keyring with chain, qty 2
15mm jump ring, qty 2
10mm jump ring, qty 1
Needle nose pliers
Thick craft glue or tape
Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your design. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.
Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable. Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.
Step 5
Trim your photo to fit the paddle frame and glue or tape in place. Insert the paddle frame and pickleball into the base as shown on the pattern sheet.
Step 6
For each keyring, attach a large jump ring to the bottom of the keyring chain and to the opening in the top of the design. Use the small jump ring to connect the pickleball to the paddle by sliding through a bead hole on each piece.
