Instructions
Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project patterns. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size pattern underneath it. Place your beads, following the patterns. Make as many flowers as desired for your bouquet.
Step 2
Ask an adult to fuse your design. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.
Step 3
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable.
Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.
Step 4
Before the beads cool completely, carefully bend the flower petals and leaves upward slightly.
Step 5
Slide the flower components onto the stem as shown on the pattern sheet.
Helpful tip: If the center opening closes up a bit on the flowers and leaves during the ironing process, insert the closed tweezer tips into the opening and gently twist to enlarge the space.
Step 6
Arrange the flowers in a container. Optional: Add faux greens to fill out your bouquet.
