Instructions
Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project patterns. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size patterns underneath it. Place your beads, following the patterns.
Step 2
You will also need:
Copy paper, white
Craft glue
Hot glue tool/glue sticks
Embroidery thread, coordinating colors
Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your designs. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.
Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable.
Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.
Step 5
Cut the TO/FROM tags from page 2 of the pattern sheet, working along the dashed lines. We recommend filling out the tag before attaching to the stocking.
Step 6
Attach the tag to the back stocking piece (one with the solid cuff) using a few tiny dabs of craft glue.
Step 7
Use a small amount of hot glue to attach the front stocking piece on top.
Step 8
Cut an 8" length of desired thread color. Slide the thread through the upper right beads of the assembled stocking. Tie the thread onto your package and trim any excess.
