Winter Hats Banner

Add a cozy feel to your winter décor with this cute wall hanging that feature winter hats made from fuse beads.

Instructions

Step 1
Download/print the PDF for the project patterns. If you are using a clear pegboard, slide the actual-size patterns underneath it. Place your beads, following the patterns.

Step 2
You will also need:
Coordinating pompoms (purchased or self-made), 1_", qty 3
Coordinating heavyweight fabric, 8" x 22"
Wooden dowel, _" thick x 9" long
Coordinating yarn or cording, 18"
Craft glue

Step 3
Ask an adult to fuse your designs. Place your pegboard on a flat, heat-safe surface. Set a household iron to the medium setting. Place ironing paper over the pegboard and bead design. In a circular motion, begin to iron the design. When ironed properly, the beads will still have open centers. Let the design cool.

Step 4
Remove the paper and bead design from the pegboard. Flip the design over to expose the non-fused side. Repeat the fusing. Let cool completely. Once the design is cool, peel off the ironing paper. Your pegboard and ironing paper are reusable.

Note: Beads need heat for about 10-20 seconds per side to fuse evenly. Lift the paper occasionally to see how the beads are fusing. Additional heating time may be required.

Step 5
Use a small amount of glue to attach a pompom to the top of each hat.

Step 6
To make the banner, fold under _" on the long sides and the bottom of the fabric and use craft glue to secure.

Step 7
Fold the top of the fabric under 1". Glue along the edge to create a casing for the dowel.

Step 8
Slide the dowel through the casing.

Step 9
Tie the yarn/cording to the ends of the dowel to make a hanger of the desired length.

Step 10
Glue the winter hats to the banner.
